Clongowes Ladies Association Annual Fine Art Exhibition 2023

Since 2006 the Clongowes Ladies Association has been organising an art exhibition in the college. The concept is to exhibit artworks in any medium that has been created by people with a link to the college. Over the years we have exhibited the work of parents and relations of the pupils together with the work of OC's.  For the last two years a physical presence in the school was not possible and accordingly, like many events, we moved online. This year we were able to mount the exhibition in the school in December but at the request of numerous OC's we are also online to enable those who could no attend in person the ability to support us online.  The aim of the exhibition is two fold, to expose the boys to art created by their relations, peers and former pupils and also to raise money for the AHP.

Why Choose Us?

The artists this year who have made this exhibition possible are Jacinta Crowley-Long (OC Alumni Mother), Michael Mulcahy (OC), Ann Mina (grandmother of OC), Gearoid Hayes (OC), Helen Cremin (Alumni mother), Lesley Murphy (Alumni mother),  Siobhan Cox-Carlos  (Alumni Mother),  Daniel O'Neill (OC ) , Camille Sshmalz (sister of current pupil) , Lesley Fennell (grandmother of current pupil) Mary Newman (staff) and Harry Durdin Robertson (OC)

The contributors this year are all professional artists  with a connection to  Clongowes.  In previous exhibitions we have exhibited the works of both amateur artists and paintings and sculpture by both staff and pupils at Clongowes.

This is an annual popular event staged usually in the Concourse of Clongowes.  The Ladies Association have hosted the event since 2006 coinciding either with Union Day or with the Christmas concerts and the festivities leading up to Christmas. We hope to be in situ in our usual exhibition space in December 2024.
